Our Story

The character of Virage stems from the creativity and imagination of Chef Jacob Cohen. A native of Morocco, Chef Cohen has perfected his art across the globe. First studying at Taba Hotel’s Chef Training Program in Eilat, Israel, he soon moved on to train under the tutelage of the renowned Chef Phillippe Caillere of Cannes, France, owner of the famous ‘Le Club’ in Tel Aviv. He eventually brought his talent to New York City, where he perfected his art, most notably serving as Hosteria Fiorella’s head chef before making his current stop at Virage.

The menu features an amazing assortment of dishes that you will be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. Experience a feast that is truly a collage of Mediterranean influenced delicacy. Visit Virage – Lower Manhattan’s cornerstone bistro.
